1. Service Description

Belief Kit is a mobile application that scans food product labels and provides dietary belief compliance information (halal, kosher, vegan, vegetarian) and allergen detection. The service uses artificial intelligence and publicly available information to verify ingredient sources.

2. Important Disclaimer

Belief Kit provides informational guidance only. It is not a substitute for reading product labels, contacting manufacturers, or consulting medical professionals.

Results are based on publicly available information and AI analysis, which may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Always verify allergen and dietary information directly with the manufacturer, especially for severe allergies.

By using this app, you acknowledge that Belief Kit is not liable for any adverse health effects, allergic reactions, or dietary/religious non-compliance resulting from reliance on app results.

3. Account Registration

You must sign in with a valid Google or Apple account to use Belief Kit. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.

4. Free Tier & Subscriptions

Belief Kit offers 5 free scans upon registration. After your free scans are used, a paid subscription is required to continue scanning.

  • Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's account settings (App Store or Google Play)

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Abuse the reporting system with false reports
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent free scan limits
  • Use automated tools to access the service

6. Accuracy & Limitations

  • AI results may be incorrect — always verify critical information independently
  • Product formulations change — cached results may not reflect the latest version
  • The app supports English-language labels only
  • Barcode lookup depends on third-party databases which may be incomplete

7. User-Generated Data

When you submit product reports or OCR-scanned ingredients, this data may contribute to our shared anonymous product database to improve accuracy for all users. No personally identifiable information is attached to cached product data.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity. You may delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen.

9. Intellectual Property

The Belief Kit application, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Belief Kit. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Belief Kit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to allergic reactions, dietary non-compliance, or religious non-compliance.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
